Lets start on the right with my new Hello Kitty BIC four way and a four pack of regular Hello Kitty BIC pens. Thanks Sam. As most of you know there are more pens, pencils and other supplies out there them we see in our local stationary chain. On the left are five Lindy Pens and two others. Top is the Lindy blue marble W-2 Washable Ink 260 fine point. Next is the purple and red Utility Medium point 460M. The orange one is also a 460M but since I do not have a orange refill I put a black fine point refill in with a black cap and top plug. One of the things I have been working on is to change some of these Lindy parts around just to see what happens. Next is a standard Lindy with gold writing on the side. What they did was just let the machine run and this is what you get. These pens were never intended to be seen or sold to the public. Thanks Teresa. Last are two pens that look to much like a Lindy. The red one is a Longlife Glide Fine point and the white and black pen is a Spectra: 77M Medium Point and sold for .69 cents. I would bet that these two pens were made by Lindy. Add them all to your collection.

A Star Is Born
I have been working for some time to complete my Papermate Zodiac Collection. I just added the two more so now Iam looking for five. Both Taurus in purple and Cancer in a light purple are great additions to the collection. On the right is a Papermate Ops N Pops. I have posted this pen before but this past Sunday night on the TV show Mad Men this pen showed up in a staring role. About ten minutes into the show a group of ladies were in the break room getting coffee. One of the ladies has a card to be signed by all for some event. As the lady hands the card to the other ladies for their signature out comes this yellow polka dot Papermate Ops N Pops. This show was filmed some time ago so I have gotten the pen back. It is always nice to see one of your pens make it big in show business. Add them all to your collection and don't forget to watch Mad Men.

More Scripto Pencils
For awhile I have been watching this well used zippered case. The case has sixteen slots for pencils or pens. The case had eight Scripto K770 pencils on the right and on the left were eight Scripto K780 pencils. These pencils are from the 1950s and in great condition. All work properly, have lead and unused erasers. I had only one Scripto K780 from the 50s in my collection so I jumped on this set. The blue K780s on the left are what I would call a cobalt blue. What a great dark blue. As we move into the 60s, 70s, 80s and the 90s the colors of these Scriptos get much lighter. I will be having a give away soon and I am sure that a K770 will be in the bag. Add all these great pencils to your collections. Also in the picture is a red Lindy, my new orange Caran d'Ache, my purple G2 limited and two Parker Jotters.

How Big Is My Collection?
Some would say to big. I say I just don't have enough room. I will start on the right. First time we see that 7-Eleven stores have their own pens, pencils and notebooks. All made in China. Next is the G-2 Limited Addition in purple. Real nice color. Top are two Papermate fountain pens and below is a battery operated pencil eraser that runs just does not erase. Last on the left was a group of pens that I got in the mail. There was one pen in the group that I wanted so I had to buy them all. Two of them are magnets and the long red pen that looks like a Lindy is not but is a Longlife and made in Monrovia California. If that pen was not made by Lindy you can bet they copied a Lindy. There is also a Pentel Sideclicker pencil that is headed to the post office. Add all these great items to your collection.

New Pencil Boxes
These are new but they do look old. I remember these type pencil boxes when I was a kid. Now I need them because my collection is getting so big. The boxes are new and fit inside each other with the biggest one being 81/2" by 6". I found these on ebay and there are more of them. These boxes plus the Sterling Plastic Pencil cases can be found at www.motivatedmommaof3.com. Good seller with some nice items.

Stuff From A Friend
Some friend of mine when down to Costa Rico and as I always do I ask them to look for pens and pencils. This time I got a bag full. On the left is a nice set of BIC pencils with a black cristal pen. We do not see BIC pencils around here. Next is a Faber Castell Back To School Set. This set is in a very nice lime green color and has everything you would need to start school. Another set I have not seen in any of the stores here in Central Texas. These next Papermate pens do say InkJoy so they are new, I must check some of our stores here and see if this type pen and package is sold here. This next package I have seen before. Pens that look old but are in fact new. They just look like the low cost pens you could find in the 50s, 60s and Two Tone to match your new car as Papermate did. Yes on the top right is a Lone Star Beer pen. add all these great pens and pencils to your collection.

Waterman's Set
Waterman pens started in 1884 with their first factory in Seymour Connecticut. The first pens that they made were fountain pens but in the late 40s with diminishing sales of fountain pens the company started making high end ball point pens. In more recent times the company was bought by BIC and in the 60s BIC discontinued most of the Waterman line with some of the high end pens still being made in France. This set from 1958 had all you needed to be ready for a days work or out on the town. Could have been used by any of the men on the TV Show Mad Men. This set had a ball point pen and pencil both in excellent condition, tie clip, cuff links and a money clip. What else did you need? As nice as the pen is I still have not gotten it to work. Most ball point pens have a spring that is about one inch long. This type of Waterman ball point pen has a spring that is as long as the refill. I have in the past got a few of them working for the TV show Mad Men so I am still working on this one. Add all this great stuff to your collection.
