60s BIC Pen Dispaly

Posted by Picasa
What a find. A 60s BIC pen counter display with two original boxes for the fine point yellow pens. This display has eight slots for the old 1 dozen BIC pen boxes, the new current boxes are to big. The two in the front are for the 25 cent BIC yellow fine point and the other six slots are for the BIC Crystals. The display is all metal and a good 40 plus years old. A great addition to the supply room. The yellow BIC pens in the box on the front left are the type that would have been there originally. The yellow fine point BIC pens are only made overseas. Our loss. Add them all to your collection.

More New Old Pentels

Posted by Picasa
Here we have some additions to the Pentel collection from the 80s. On the left is a RC16 Clicroller, a new R-3 roller with the Radio Shack logo. Next is a blue R-4 and PS45C pencil with the BudLight logo and a nice R-7 roller. All work and all from the 80s. Most of the R-3s through the R-7 plus original Excaliburs can be broken down in the 70s or 80s. A complete set should have both but in the 80s we should be adding in the Ceramicron series of SRs and the RXs which were listed as Excaliburs. I only have a few of the SRs and none of the RXs but am still looking. This will not include all the variations of these pens only released in Japan. So many pens and so little time. The hunt continues.

1984 Pentel Olympic Pens and Pencils

Here is a nice collection of Pentels Olympic pens and pencils. I have also included the pages from the Pentel 1984 catalog. I do not have all of them but this is a good start. On the left I have the Rolling Writer and Sharplet set, the Clicroller RC-30 and the Excalibur Pen and Pencil set. All nice, all working and all should be in your collection. What other companies have used Pentel for advertising at the national level? I have found Disney to be a big player and I just found a Pentel R-3 from Radio Shack which I will post next.

Adding To The Pentels

Posted by Picasa
This is not my complete Pentel collection but it is close. Over the past six months I have added more pentel pens to the group. I am not going to try and identify each one by name but this is a good example of Pentel pens over the past 40 years. Pentel pencils have always been collectible but Pentel pens are starting to catch on. There are of course pencils mixed in this group. I have collected Pentel for many years and there just seems to be no end to the different types, sizes and colors of these pentels. It is also interesting to see the changes in styles over the years. Add them all to your collection.

Pencils For Your Pocket

Posted by Picasa
Here we have a nice set of pencils that can go in your pocket. I do like drafting pencils for every day writing but I do not like the sleeve sticking out. So I have added some that do not stick me. On the left is the Staedtler 925 25-20, Uni Shift.05, Promecha 1007, Tombow LOOM 505sh, BelBol.05, Pilot.05 which I believe is a H-3005, Pentel S55 with blue bottom, Pentel 535, Pentel S57, Pentel P1135, Pentel Sharp Kerry .07 and a Pentel Graph Gear 1000. The pencil that I have had the longest is the Pilot H3005 which I bought in Germany. All work well and are in the daily rotation. add them all to your collection.
