More Scripto Pencils

For awhile I have been watching this well used zippered case. The case has sixteen slots for pencils or pens. The case had eight Scripto K770 pencils on the right and on the left were eight Scripto K780 pencils. These pencils are from the 1950s and in great condition. All work properly, have lead and unused erasers. I had only one Scripto K780 from the 50s in my collection so I jumped on this set. The blue K780s on the left are what I would call a cobalt blue. What a great dark blue. As we move into the 60s, 70s, 80s and the 90s the colors of these Scriptos get much lighter. I will be having a give away soon and I am sure that a K770 will be in the bag. Add all these great pencils to your collections. Also in the picture is a red Lindy, my new orange Caran d'Ache, my purple G2 limited and two Parker Jotters.  Posted by Picasa

  1. This was my first mechanical pencil as my grandfather found it at work and gave it to me. I have a feeling that may have started my pen and pencil love (that and the US Government pens he used to bring home from the Post Office where he and my grandmother worked).
