Ferber Vu-Riter Pen

Here are some nice old Ferber pens from the early 50s to the early 60s. I only have a few sets that do not write anymore and this is one of them. It is however a great example of a cardboard counter display that is complete. I have always like pens that you can see through and these have great color. To bad they do not work.

  1. You seem to have a lot of great old shop and counter display units, etc. How have you got all of these? Did you buy them "back in the day" when you bought the pens or are they more recent acquisitions from eBay or bankrupt stores, or...???

  2. Thanks for the question. The short answer is all the above.I have been blogging for only 3 months so before that I have just been going along for the past 30 years collecting what I like. I look for things that I remember from the 60s and 70s. Sometimes they are newer or older. I have been trying to convert my office into a old pen store and that is why I like the old counter displays. They will not be around forever. I have over 1000 items and I do not count the 100 new items from Jetpens. The pentel cases came from a store that was closing. I am always looking but I am on a budget. I do like things that work. You can e-mail for more detailed answers on my collection if you like.
