This BIC pen collection keeps growing. I have about 45 more pens but I ran out of cases so they will wait till payday. In this picture we have five rows of BIC cristals and three rows of BIC Wavelenghts. Each case hold 48 pens and and I have not found a better way to show off the collection. For the give-away at the end of the month it will include what I call a starter set of BIC pens. If you have a collection or want to start one then keep up with my postings. It could be as many as 20 pens so stay tuned. Top left are your working BIC fine and medium point pens. Bottom left are many of the BIC round style pens. Top right are your working school or office Wavelenght pens. Those are interesting because I did not know there were that many out at the same time. One set completely missing are the three or maybe six BIC Soft Feel Pens. I do not have any of them. For those that are interested I am collecting these BIC pens three ways, by type, then by color and then by wording on the side of the pen. To get them all I will need more display cases. Add them all to your collection.

Wearever Pens
I just got this set of Wearever pens down at the supply room. I already have the pen set on the left but they were included in this lot. On the right is a Wearever fountain pen. The real interesting pens are the three in the middle. Wearever Marking Pens with the barrel being replaceable. The ink is located in the barrels so when you are out of ink you just get another barrel. They claim there is a valve in the pen that will cut off the ink supply when not in use. Replacement barrels were selling at the time for .25 cents and replacement tips were .10 cents. I have never seen these before and I do not need three so one will be part of our first give-away which will start around the first of next month. Keep checking back because the end of the month is only ten days away. Add them all to your collection.

Back To School
This ad for BIC Pens has always been one of my favorites. This one is by Jack Davis who is a nationally known cartoonist and illustrator to include Mad Magazine. I would think from the 80s since the BIC Banana and the Accountant pens are not made anymore. Still a great ad that should be in your collection.

Midroi Brass Ballpoint Pen
JetPens was nice enough to send us a Midroi Brass Ballpoint Pen to review which is the pen at the bottom of the picture. As soon as I got it I found that we had very few small pocket size pens or pencils in our inventory. The 30 year old yellow John Deer pencil was about as close as I can get. The Midroi pen is high end compared to the bullet pencils that have been around the US since the Civil War. Most are give-aways for farmers, feed stores, insurance and souvenirs from around the US. There are many collectors out there with large collections of bullet pencils. I like the idea of starting at the top and work down and I will do that with this Midroi pen. This Midroi is a well made bullet pen. Ready to write it is about 5 1/2 " long and feels just fine in your hand. I would not use it for all day writing but since I am making notes all day this pen works fine. The pen would be just fine without the pocket clip. Most people that I know carry these type pens and pencils put them in their front jeans pocket. The pen has a nice 0.5mm point that does lay down a nice non skip line. I like so much that I plan on adding the Midroi pencil to my collection. Top three pens in the picture are Lindys followed by the small red Scripto key chain pencil. Add them all to your collection and again thanks to JetPens for this outstanding addition to my collection.
