Pentel Super Multi 8 HP803

Here is a pentel that I have been waiting on. The pentel HP803. At the bottom is the HP158 and I will start with that one. Sometimes called a bible highlighter, it has 8 different color 2mm leads. There appears to be three in the line of HP 800 series multi pencil/pens starting with the HP801 (Not Pictured) which had a DNC and a PPC non copying lead plus had a 2B, B, HB, H, blue and red lead. There was also a HP802 (Not Pictured) which had a DNC and PPC non copying lead plus red, blue, brown, orange, yellow and green 2mm lead. The HP803 Super Multi 8 pictured above appears to be the top of the line, three ball point pens and five leads. You have black, blue and red fine point ball pens, red pencil lead, pink and yellow fluorescent leads, PPC non copy lead and a standard HB lead. All this in a light weight multi pencil/pen body. The HP803 has the standard clutch action for advancing the lead just like standard 2mm pencils. When you advance the ballpoint pens only the point comes out. As with many 2mm pencils the HP803 must be turned upside down to retract. Great item for Pentel and multi pen/pencil collectors and it works great.Posted by Picasa

My 100th Post

My first post was on 13 May 2009. Here we are at 100. What picture should I use? Well, everything that takes place in the supply room comes across my desk. So the desk it is for number 100. My desk, just like yours has the 300 plus pens and pencils, notebooks, rulers, erasers, 8 track tape players and more supplies then I could ever use. Pretty normal stuff for us in the office/school supplies business. I also want to thank all my new blogger friends who helped me get to my 100th post and the many followers. Post number 101 will be the review of the much anticipated Pentel HP 803 Super 8 multi pen/pencil.

My Pentel Collection

Here is my Pentel collection. As always I have left some out. My Smash pen and pencil set, A red R-4 roller, my clicroller RC26 and a few others. To many shelves to check. The plastic lead holder rack on the right does have other makes in it but I have to keep the lead and erasers somewhere. I have been collecting Pentel since the 70s and they are one of my favorites. My collection is nothing like over at pencils 11 but we do try. The Pentel cases were a lucky find and do make it easy to store many of the pen and pencils.

M900 Scripto Wordmaster Pencil Display

Can't say much more about the Scripto Wordmaster then Sam just said over at Future; Nostalgic so I will show what a counter display stand would look like back in 1946. The stand is cardboard and holds a dozen pencils. Four Black, four Red and four Blue. The Wordmaster has to be the most elegant pencil Scripto ever made. Add one to your collection. Thanks Sam for all the kind comments and great post.Posted by Picasa

More Sterling Plastic Items

May and June of this year I posted most of my Sterling Plastic Company Collection. Any low cost, made in the USA school or office supply item was made by Sterling Plastic. Rulers, Protractors, pencil boxes, slide rules and pencil sharpeners were made by Sterling Plastic. I did not post the plastic storage boxes. Here we have four great examples. Back left is the letter file small storage box model #274. To the right is the large letter file storage box, I believe the model is a #275. Up front are two check files model #273. These all work and are from the 70s or early 80s. If you are looking for these try and find ones with the red, white and blue labels still attached. Rulers are also sterling Plastic.Posted by Picasa

Scripto T060 Stick Pen

Here we have an item for all you Scripto Pen collectors. I just picked up two dozen non-working Scripto Med point Stick Pens made in Atlanta Georgia. I did not have one in my collection. All you have to do is send me an E-mail at moose@hot.rr.com and I will send you one. I guess I should point out again that they do not work and I am not aware of many Scripto Pen collectors. I only have two dozen.Posted by Picasa

BIC 1995 Jewel Collection

Here is a set I have been hearing about for some time. The BIC 1995 Limited Edition Jewel Collection from France. I have always like BIC pens made overseas. They just seem to make a larger variety of models and colors. This limited edition set comes in a cardboard carrying case and includes some pens sold in the US but made in clear plastic. There is a 4 way and a 2 way multi pen and the BIC Metal included. None of these pens work but I do have some refills for a few of them.

Tilt Tip Pens

Here we have two Tilt Tip pens. The one on the left is a Scripto Tilt Tip from the late 50s and early 60s and on the right you have the discontinued Papermate Pendulum. The scripto does not write but the papermate does. This is a nice pen. The black tip that hold the point turns completely around. Not a fine point but is fun to write with. I just do not know about papermate. They make a pen that is fun to write with and then its gone. Most reviews of this pen gave it high marks. I liked Papermate better when it was in its prime during the 50s and 60s.Posted by Picasa

Killeen and Ft Hood Texas

This past week has been nothing short of a disaster here in Killeen. On Sunday 1 November we had a fire at our CenTex Humane Society that killed 115 animals. I am the former President of the organization. Then on Thursday the 5th Of November we had some nut shoot down 13 soldiers and civilians on Ft Hood in the worst mass killing on a military base ever. As you know I am a retired military. Don't forget Veterans Day on Wednesday. Posted by Picasa
