More JetPens

Picked up a few more new items from my favorite store JetPens. On the left is a Staedtler Triplus Mobile Office Set. Next are more of the Tombow Interlocking Wooden Pencil Caps. This is my second set of these caps. Had to pick up another Tombow Olno Body Knock Pencil in Berry Grape Pink. Last is one of the three Uni-ball Kuru Toga Pencils which will stay on the card. Always add something from JetPens to your collection.Posted by Picasa

More Vacation Pens

I have some very good friends of mine who while on vacation always look for interesting pens and pencils. Here is what they brought me. Starting at the bottom is a ball point from the Hawaii Volcanoes National Park. Next is the ball point from the USS Arizona, after that is a nice all metal pen from the Battleship Missouri Memorial. This pen is all metal with a cut out of the Battleship. To the right of the ship cut out is a button that when pushed you get different colored lights showing behind the ship. Great pen. On top is one that is new to me. Has nothing to do with Hawaii. A Swarovski Crystal Pen. Writes fine, good weight and handling. Add all of these on your next vacation.  Posted by Picasa

BIC Update

Back on 1 April I posted this vintage BIC display but it did not come with any original cardboard boxes or pens. So off I go to find some and try to get this display to look like it did some 30 plus years ago. The top two slots are for the BIC Clics and the cost at the time was .49 cents. I found a box with the correct design but newer with the cost now being .59 cents. Then you would have two boxes of yellow fine point pens at .25 cents and at the bottom there would be four boxes of regular BIC medium point pens at .19 cents. One for each of the four basic colors would work. This does make for a nice display of pens past. Current BIC pen boxes are larger and will not fit this display. Add all these to your collection.

Lindy Short Shorty

Here we have a all metal Lindy Short Shorty Pen display standing just 12" tall. I have never seen one before. These short pens were never my favorites from Lindy because of the size. They are to short. With the cap on they are 3 1/2" long. The Lindy stick pens came in three sizes, Regular at 6 1/2" capped, Shorty at 5 1/2" capped and the Short Shorty at 3 1/2" capped. Our collection of Lindy pens and Displays are growing and they still are the number three all time visited post here in the Supply Room and for good reason. We are gearing up for a large "give away" and a working Lindy pen will be included. Add them all to your collection.  Posted by Picasa

Pens With Great Names

All these pencils and pens are old but they all have great names. On the left are the Scripto "Wordmasters" from around 1946. Next are the Venus Esterbrook a subsidiary of Faber-Castell  "Desk Masters". Not sure of the dates of these Desk Masters but one will be our next give away. Non refillable and 7" long with no cap. One of the longest pens I have run across. All write blue. On the right are 1 dozen Lindy "Legal Writer" LW-F69 model pens from the 70s or 80s. This is one model Lindy that I did not have in my collection. Thanks Susan!!! All the Lindy's are facing point up except for the one that  has been given new life with a Pilot fine point blue refill. Add all these great named pencils and pens to your collection. Posted by Picasa

New and Old Papermates

On the left we have two Papermate 4-Ball Pens. The blue one is your standard  red, green, blue and black while the green one has the four neon colors. I have never seen these here in the US. Plastic bodies with rubber grips. Will have to open one up and try it. On the right are two 70s or early 80s Papermate Contours.  The red one is a standard contour while the yellow and black one is the much harder to find  Rally model. This makes my second Rally. Add them all to your collection.Posted by Picasa

More New BICs

Here we have more new BIC pens from overseas. The four RS2s on top have been posted before but all three types have plenty in common. The RS2s, BU1s and the BU3 are all fine point and are all made in Vietnam.  are these new BIC's going to take over here in the US? I do not think so. These pens are nice but cheap and the current BICs are getting so collectible. Still everyone should have at least one of each type in your collection.Posted by Picasa

JetPens

Always have to keep up with what is going on over at JetPens. On the left is the very nice Monteverde Artista Crysttal Roller in Transparent blue. Next are refills and the Tombow Interlocking Wooden Pencil Caps. On the right in the plastic box is my original Pilot H2005 and my new Pilot Automac Mechanical 0.5mm Pencil. What a great pair. I do enjoy the older pens and pencils but we must not forget the new cutting edge items coming from JetPens. Add them all to your collection.

BIC Banana

I are now back to work and there is plenty to post and talk about. Lets start with my BIC Bananas. Just about all the ways to you could buy one is here. As you can see there are two types of pens in the picture. The five and ten pen sets have the bananas without pocket clips and are the IC-20 Ink Crayons. The ones with the clips are the FL-29 Marker or the Porous Point Pen. There are a few more types but I will show those with the BIC pens later. None of my BIC Bananas work which is sad because in their day they were fun to use. Examples of all these fine 70s BIC Bananas should be in your collection.Posted by Picasa
