I have been asked to show my Scripto collection. This is what will fit on the table. Many of the Scripto pens and cardboard displays are not shown. This collection is large. There are books and catalogs included to try and find out what some of this stuff is, when was it made and how many models or types are there. My collection covers the late 40s to 90s. I will be showing the items in detail at a later time. I have yet to post my top 5 list of pens and pencils but I will tell you that the Scripto K780 is the top pencil. Scripto also made the VU Lighters which I also collect.
HOLY SMOKES!!!! That is impressive to say the least. I've personally been so focused on collecting Pentel/Pilot that I've really missed out on the Scripto brand. I can't wait to get a few more of my own to play around with. Although what the heck is a Pilot Plumix doing in there (hehe) :)
ReplyDeleteI have run out of space. I try to dedicate at least two of the hooks on the scripto rack for hanging other brands. No room.
ReplyDeleteWOW!!! I think you need more though..... Not enough. hehehe
ReplyDeleteOT question - what is that on the top left shelf? An 8-track cartridge player?
ReplyDeleteYes, but the one on the left has another large player sitting on top of it. Over to the right side of the picture is a third player. Not in the picture are the other four players. Also the 300 tapes are not shown. All work, and I am waiting for 8 tracks to make their come back.I will be ready. Most of my collections are based in the 60s and 70s.
ReplyDeleteThat's cool!!! First time I've seen a pic of a working one
ReplyDeleteWhile looking for a link to attach to my blog, I found this post. I have such fond memories of my Scripto from high school in the 1950's. I now have two, which my husband purchased for me recently. I just posted my miniscule collection (compared to real collectors)of pens and pencils on my blog. I linked your post to my Scriptos. Thanks for showing us your collection.
ReplyDeleteYou are welcome. My collection is based on what I had and used in the 60s and 70s. I do not review because I already have. I like them or they are not in the collection. Thanks for looking.
ReplyDeleteWould you sell me a P360? I am actually looking for the COMBO pen/pencil?
ReplyDeleteI would check E-bay for the sets. P360 pencil would go with a T220 or T210 ball point pen.I like the T220 the best. They can be put to work with a Fisher refill.
