Cross Solo and Give Away

Posted by Picasa
Many of us grew up getting and using Cross pens for many years. I have posted plenty of my Cross pens here on this blog but one of my favorites has been the discontinued Cross Solo in the clear colors. These pens still fit in with all the new pens and pencils hitting the market today. These pens use the standard Cross refills. I now have my set of ten for collecting purposes (I like sets of ten) but I also have a extra Blue and Green one. So lets give one away. Leave a comment by 17 June and tell me what color you would like, blue or green. These are great pens and all the colors should be in your collection.

  1. Thanks so much for the great give-away. I'd like the green if I win, but either one would work.

  2. The blue is neato looking, and I would definitely like to win it. Please throw my name in the hat for this, and thank you for the giveaway.

  3. I love either one... gravitating toward the green, but the blue is beautiful too.

  4. Why must you tempt me with a green pen?

  5. The green one would be fine (but either one would work). I saw Cross, and I knew I had to visit the blog. One of my nice memories of childhood was my dad always having a Cross pen for his signature pen.

  9. To coin a phrase from talk radio: "I'm a long-time reader, first-time poster." Enjoy this blog a bunch, it's helped rekindle a passion for Pentels, in specific, and pencils in general. I'd be appreciative of either color.

I'm wondering if you could help me - where's the best resource to identify vintage Pentel pencils, and learn more about their vintage?

Any help would be appreciated - thanks - Jim O'Donnell (shelterwood@gmail.com)

  13. Hey George,

I have a couple of those but not in a color that I want. I only have red and orange. They write great, although one leaked in transit to me. Anyways, count me in for a blue.
