Lindy Pens

This is not all of them but these pictures will give you an idea of the many different Lindy Pens that were made from the 40s to the early 90s. Most were made in Culver City California. There were also made by the Blackfoot Indians who bought the Lindy Pen Company moved it then killed it. Most are in the trash because the stick pens were made not to be refillable. I  have developed a way to get the refill out and replace it with a Pilot Stick Pen refill. This procedure works on most Lindy pens.

Most of this bottom row are the standard Lindy 460M model. This is what most people used. These pens came in at least 12 colors and Lindy was one of the first pen companies to do that. This row has at least 9 colors

Top row has more basic pens plus some of the clear ones. The clear are are a bit of  an mystery because I have the short clear pens like the 2 in the picture but they have different writing on the side. The Lindy company was in some kind of battle with BIC. Lindy desperately wanted at pen to compete against BIC that would cost about 19 cents. They never got there. The pocket clip and printing on the side of the pens just cost to much. It is sad because I think Lindy had a great pen on it's own.

Here we have the Lindy pen called the Shortys. They came in all the colors that the full size pens came in. On the right with the white bodies are the Lindy STENO fine point model number 467-F.  I have been interested in the reason for the different wording on the side of these pens. I am sure that "when made" had a lot to do with what was printed on the side. Not a lot of information out there on these Lindy pens.

Now here are a real treat for the lover of Lindy pens. We have pens that were not allowed to leave the factory. I world bet someone took these pens out in their lunch box or briefcase. Not sure of the reason for running these pens over and over again through the printing machine. Maybe someone having fun. What they did was create a real collectors item. I also have a pink Lindy printed the same as these. Somebody took these pens out of the factory.

Here are some nice two way pens. I have both clear red and blue and red and black. Have not been able to get any of these working.

Here we have a close up of a Lindy Utility Marker in yellow. These were made in all colors and I can tell you they worked great. None work today and I have not seen many of these pens around. I also have it in black.

Lindy have a large collection of ball point pens. The little orange pen is called a Short Shorty. I have about 10 different colors in this size. One of my favorite pen to get working are the blue marble ones on the right. A great looking pen.

Here is a nice example of pens being marketed to kids.

Here is the famous Utractapen. The larger ball point out there. These pens measures 7". I have one working on my desk.

Here are the Lindy pens I have working that are on my desk. I made the mistake on my post of Pentel Techniclick by saying I have them all. I was wrong. But on Lindy pens I feel good in saying that no one has come forward with a larger collection. Collectors are always looking to add to their collection but no one has come forward to top my collection. My counter top displays and the loose Lindy pens did not make it in this posting. Maybe another day. Add all these great pens to your collection.

Pentel Refills

To keep retired Pentel pens working you have to keep refills on hand. I have bought some that work great and others that do not. Many of these refills are at least 40 years old. The older SPC8s, SRM02s, SRM03s or the SRM04s refills seem to work good. The rollers in fine point do not but the MG8s do. Add all these refills to your collection.

Parker Jotters Again

Added a few new Parkers to the collection. On the bottom row all the pens with the nice designs are all from India. India has some type of contact with Parker to make Jotters and other Parker pens in their country. This produces some nice liking pens with nice designs.

On this row I added the forest green pen. Not sure how many colors there are but I do keep finding one here and one there that I am missing.

Again some nice designs on the pens.

Already filled the large case so I am using this case for the new additions. The three on the top right are new Parkers with the new feather on the pocket clip. There are more then these three but I am adding them a few at a time.

Here are the three plus the clear barrel pens. Add all these great Jotters to your collection.

Pentel Smash Again

I have added two new Pentel Smash pencils to the collection. These are great pencils that just don't get enough air time. I added the gold and the dark blue pencils in the middle. I have posted plenty of Pentel pens and pencils of late and still have plenty more to post. I have a very large collection that keeps getting larger. I do however have some news posts of Scripto and Parker Jotters comming real soon.

The bottom one does not say Smash but does have the model number in its place. This one had a matching pen but I sold it some some back. Add all these great pencils to your collection.

More Techniclick Pencils

Back on 1 May 2017 I posted my complete Pentel Techniclick pencil collection. I said I may have all of them. Well I was not even close. Since 1 May I have added eleven new pencils. That makes nine different versions of this pencil for my collection. I liked the Techniclick pencil but I never though that there would be so many different versions from around the world. The new pencils are the six new PD 227s on the bottom right and the five new PD 105Ts at the top right. The 105Ts have the same model number as the orginal PD 105Ts top left. As you can see they do not look the same.

These are from Europe and are called Clic a Color. The color of the side button is the color of the lead. The model of these pencils are PD 227.

These are from Mexico. These are the five 0.5mm pencils and I am missing the three 0.7mm pencils. As you can see they are a different tint then the other clear pencils in the collection. The model number of these pencils are PD 105Ts. Add all these great pencils to your collection.

New Pentel Pop n pop.

There is a seller on eBay with the name of sellers name of dalyspenshop. I talked to him for some time and it seems that he bought two boxed of Pentel items from a person who worked at Pentel. This pencil is one that I did not have. I spent more money then I wanted to but you do what you need to do so I won the bid. Lets just say over $100.00 was spent.  Like I said I spent more then I wanted to.

Great example of a PD335 Pop n pop pencil. Still looking for the back ground of the Pop n pop meaning. I have a friend who worked for Pentel for over 30 years and has now retired. I am told that she may be working on a blog to show her collection. I just hope that this is true because we need an expert from Pentel to get us all going in the right direction. Add all these great pencils to your collection.

Another Pentel Technomatic

Had to add another one to the collection. If nothing else I have something to trade. This one is brand new yet almost 40 years old. This pencil has the continuing feed of the lead like the new Pentel Orenx PP3003 I posted a few posts back. The big difference is that the Orenz has a sliding sleeve or pipe that re-tracks almost completely and the Technomatic re-tracks about half the lenght of the pipe. The pencil is 5" long so even with the pipe still out you can carry in your pocket without stabbing yourself.

The new one has a green eraser with a needle to clean out broken lead. Add one to your collection.

Hallmark Pens

I have been collecting these great pens for years. It started while I was in the Army when I was able to visits different towns in our great country. Every mall had a Hallmark store and those stores had these wooden pens. What I have not done is keep track of the different woods. These four are my best ball points and the best looking wood. The only one I know what it is would be the last pen on the right. That one is walnut with gold trim. The rest may be rosewood or who knows. First and third on the left are new pens to the Supply Room. I do know these are great pens that continue to bring joy to writing. These pens use Cross refills with the required adapter which you get free from Hallmark. Add all these great pens to your collection.

Vintage Pentel Display Case

Can't just store all these pencils in a cardboard box so I added a third Pentel display case. This one is in great shape and by the time the weekend hits the cabinet will be full. If you want to see the same cabinet but with lights go visit Be prepared for a history lesson on the P200 pencils.

Bottom right has my Pentel pens. Top right has Pentel pencils and the new one will have the same. Below the new cabinet are my two Retro 51 cases full of their pens. Add all these great cases to your collection.

Pentel Techniclick Pencils

I think I have them all. It seems that every time I tell myself that I find more but this time I think I may have them. These are the Pentel Techniclick pencils. Most are not being made anymore but people still buy and collect them. I have seven different versions for a total of forty pencils. Six on the bottom right are extras.

Top row on the left we start with the seven original PD105Ts and the PD107Ts followed by the three Aim Supplio PD 265s. I picked up these three from JetPens. Next are the seven PD235Ts and PD 237Ts Techniclick 2s. Last in the row are the seven Techniclick Razzle Dazzles.

Starting on the left we have the five PD 305s and PD 307 Techniclick Gs. Next are the six PD 245s and PD 247s which they call Pentel T3s. Last are the five Techniclick PD 105Cs.  Add all these pencils to your growing collection.

Pentel Sharplet Collection

The Sharplet collection is coming along just fine. Have added at least sixteen new pencils. I am now out of space.

Added a rare Pentel 120 A2 0.3mm Sharplet. This one was not cheap.

Added two Sharplets from Walt Disney and the rare blue on blue 0.7mm pencil. You will see two 0.7 and 0.9 pencils. They are different. One has the word Japan after the A127 and the A129 and the others do not.

Here we have five sets of pencils with one having the A125 and the other has A125 Japan. Based on this I am still missing some pencils.

Here is a complete set of Aim 0.5mm pencils. Eight in the set. These pencils don't have Japan after the model.

Here are two pencils with the Japan after the model so I am missing the without. The hunt continues. Add all these great pencils to your collection.

Another SP Roll Top Pencil Box

Anyone who follows this blog knows that I have a very large Sterling Plastic collection. Sterling Plastic made many of the school and office supplies in the 60s and 70s. All US made. One of the most popular items were the roll top pencil boxes. Starting on the left is the box I just received. A orange and yellow SP #526. Next is my other SP #526 pencil box. Two on the right are the Hasbro roll top models.

I don't think the roll top boxes were real durable because the prices on these are high compared to the other SP boxes. They do however seem to hold up in the Supply Room. I have been keeping pencils and pens in my boxes.

Great boxes. I don't know what other colors they came in.

This new one is in good condition except for some marks on the bottom. Lid retracts just fine and someone will get plenty of good use out of this box.

Here are the Hasbro boxes. Both in great shape and ready to use. No model number on these boxes. Add them all to your collection.
