Pentel 25th Aniversity Sterling Silver Roller Ball

Here we have the newest pentel pen in my collection. On the left is the Sterling Silver 25th Anniversary Roller Ball. This new pen was commissioned and handed out by the President of Pentel back in 1990 to commemorate 25 years of US Pentel. This one has a serial number of 0610. I would guess that there were 1000 pens made. This is a outstanding roller pen and is clearly the top roller in my collection. This pen has a special refill but can be replaced with the refill for the R-4 which is the next pen. This is one of four R-4s, black, red, green and blue. They use refill number #MG8 . The next pen is the 25th Anniversary Pentel Lancelot which I posted back on 5 October. Last pen on the right is the Pentel Excalibur that I bought back in 1977 at Harrod's of London.Posted by Picasa

Pentel Techniclick Update

Back on 26 May 2009 I posted my Techniclick collection. At the time there were 34 different pencils. Today we add number 35. I am adding a .07mm PD107RD in green. RD stands for Razzle Dazzle. I have a green RD already but it has a black side lead advance button. This new one has a blue button. These are good pencils and have always received good reviews but the search must continue.Posted by Picasa

Scripto P500 Pencil

Here on the left we have a new scripto pencil for my collection. A P500 TRITEX or carded a P509. This is a .05 mm pencil with a sliding sleeve or a lead guard. The pencil on the right is a K21, replacement for the K780 scripto pencil. Rumor was that the K-21 was available in more then the standard 1.1mm lead. I have never seen one. They could have been talking about this P500. It is shorter but the body style is close. Same textured grip at the bottom, same metal pocket clip. The P500 does have a cap over the eraser, K-21 does not. This is a good pencil. Never seem one before. This make 47 different scripto pencils in the supply room.Posted by Picasa

Pentel Twist-Eraser Click

Currently Pentel has many different low cost plastic mechanical pencils on the market here in the USA. Which ones could become collector items in the future? That is the question. I picked two from the current list. The Techniclick and the Twist-Eraser Click. I have 34 different Teckniclicks in my collection which I posted on 26 May. Pentel USA list 11 Twist-Eraser Clicks for sale. Here are all 11. The one in the package is a duplicate. There are four .05s, four .07s and three .09s. This pencil appears to be third in a line of Twist-Eraser pencils by Pentel. The first two were the Twist-Eraser and the Twist-Eraser 3. I like the pencil because is reminds me of the original side clicker from the 70s. You will have to go over to Pencils 11 to see all the original side clickers. I only have 12 of the originals. I like the way these Twist-Eraser Clicks write and I like the colors. Add them all to your collection.

More Pentel Ball Pens

Here is another shipment from Sam over at Future; Nostalgic. I had asked for a dozen pentel R-50, ball pens and here they are. These are some of my favorite pens. They have been around for over 40 years but not here in the USA. Your standard office or school pen all over the world. Started in the 70s where I first was introduced to them. They have a cushioned nib, smooth writing rollerball, 0.8 tip that writes a 0.4 mm line, water based ink that writes up to 2,200 meters. I do not ever remember having one run out of ink. The ones on the right have been posted before. They include the R-56 extra-fine point and the pink R-56. May have to do a give-away on one or two of these. These are a must for any Pentel or rollerball collector. Thanks Sam.

German Notebooks

Here we some German notebooks from about 1984. At the time I was living in Kaiserslautern and these notebooks were bought at a large grocery store called Massa and sold at the time for 2.60 DM. The notebooks are graph paper and measure about 3"x6". I had two packs of three. The opened ones do not have any marking on them. Any of you notebook collectors would like one of these just E-mail me at moose@hot.rr.com and I will send one out. Only have three notebooks from the open pack. They are about 25 years old. The orange cover with all the info in German is a insert card, I will make a copy of it and send it along. Could this be my first giveaway?Posted by Picasa

Eternity Pen Set by Write-Away

I try to go by Office Depot, Staples and Office Max at least once a week. Today I was at Office Max. I saw two new items. The first item is a new notebook by Day Runner called Life Tracker. This notebook has replaceable inserts. I will wait for one of the many notebook bloggers to cover this new item. The other item was a $30.00, 72 piece pen and pencil set with refills in a nice large plastic case. On the outside of the case it said "As shown on TV". This item reminded me of a old set called the Eternity Pen set by Write-Away. I had to dig down in the basement of the supply room to find this item. I do not remember the age but it is at least 20 years old. This set has never been used. In its day this was all you needed for work or school. I may pick up the new one at Office Max but it will have to wait till payday. Posted by Picasa

If you want you can open the package which may contain a black BIC pen that writes in gold. You will win a 14K Gold Bullion Bar. My packages will stay sealed. The pens are made in Mexico however, BIC pens made overseas are generally better made with more variety in colors and styles.Posted by Picasa

Pentel 25th Anniversary Lancelot Roller Ball

Here is a 25th Anniversary Pentel USA Lancelot roller ball. These roller ball pens were handled out to employees who attended the NOPA 1990 Cocktail Party. I believe the Lancelot was the replacement for the Excalibur. I do prefer the Excalibur but this one is nice. On the side of the pen it is engraved "Pentel Of America LTD, 1965-1990". Nice addition to the supply room collection. These type pens use the pentel RMJ8 refills.Posted by Picasa

French BIC Cristal Pens

Here we have four new French BIC Cristal Ball Point Pens. As your can see they are different from the ones you get here in the USA. You have the yellow tinted barrels. These pens are non refillable. The refill are sealed in the body. BIC Cristal's are medium point pens, this type from France are fine point. BIC does a much better job overseas with their offering of pens. The pens are standing in a Scripto plastic pen/pencil holder.Posted by Picasa
