Here we have a nice example of a ruler from Sterling Plastic. This is a 1968 #540 Protractor. I will be keeping this one in my note book that is with me all the time. Sterling Plastic was the leader in plastic school supplies in the 50s through the 80s. The company is now gone but that helps make these rulers and other stationary items so valuable.
George - just out of curiosity, how do you go about 'dating' the items that you find? That information makes the item so much more interesting to me and I would imagine is not that easy to obtain.
ReplyDeleteI use the date on the card if there is one plus the date the company closed up. You can alos use the price to help date the card.
