We are starting to have a large BIC pen and pencil collection. These four BIC Pens are nice. Solid color bodies and all write in black ink. This surprised me because pens like these from BIC tend to use the same color ink as the body. All have black ink, 1.0mm point and Easy Glide printed on the side. Made in France but for the Chinese or Japanese market. All of these are now being used. Great Pens. I have more old BIC coming soon and I may lay all these great BIC pens and pencils out together. Add them all to your collection.
George, those are neat! They remind me of the "fashion" colors they have here in the US for their 4-color pens and Atlantis pens. It's odd that they write in black, instead of the color of the barrel. The writing on the right is in Korean, by the way.
ReplyDeleteI did not think about Korea. I only spent a year living there. Yes the fact that the pens all write black is odd. They are all great pens.
ReplyDeleteHello!
ReplyDeleteSo glad to find this blog!! Do you happen to know
the name of a 1980s hexagonal barrel ballpoint? I believe
the one I used was from Faber Castell. Please advice, thanks soo much!
Will have to look. Have you seen the same type pen on Ebay? Good place to start looking.
ReplyDeleteI have looked on ebay and been doing a lot of research but cant find any resembling this pen. I bought the Staedtler Noris Stick (which is the exact barrel type and overall the closest to it Ive seen) on a trip to Italy but the ink quality is so poor...I remember I used to love how the ink was so very dark. Thanks so much!
ReplyDeleteI like your blog, especially the notices of new products like the BIC bold fashion colors Cristals. I picked some up after reading your post. Yesterday I saw something new - BIC disposable fountain pens at Staples. The three color set: black, blue and red is getting a try out now.
