The other day I picked up this plastic Lazy Susan CD rack for $5.00. It can hold about 120 CDs. It now holds pens and pencils. This is not for everybody and time will tell if it works in the supply room.
You are so right. No only spinning too hard but the pens need to be caps in so the weight is in the back. I will need to try it for awhile. I just do not have the space I need.
So far this has worked good. You do have to be concerned about dust. The rack must be kept in a place where it will not be move around too much. The jury is still out on this item.

I do not have any links but I will tell you I am always looking for things that can be used in the office. I like second hand stores for good stuff that will work. So far the CD rack has worked fine.
I guess the trick is not to spin Suzy too hard? Seriously though, I hadn't thoght of CD storers as possible pen/pencil storers. Thanks for the idea.
