Between 1980 and 1990 the hardness grade indicator was added, and I am looking for the exact year. And they no longer have any parts for the PSD5. While the clip installed on the PSD5 is almost ubiquitous for many other Pentel mechanical pencils (like the P200 line), the rear cap is different. The only way to replace it now is to experiment with old vintage mechanical pencils, trying out caps from other models/brands. I did find one that sort-of works, from a PILOT multi-pen (it's just a tad long). Thankfully you can periodically pick up junker mechanical pencils that have worn bodies but intact rear caps, so a suitable replacement shouldn't be too expensive.Cytherianhttps://www.blogger.com/profile/08613570208894172070noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2712342362808141268.post-43368403377021101732017-12-17T21:02:52.453-08:002017-12-17T21:02:52.453-08:00Good to know that Pentel of America has such devot...Good to know that Pentel of America has such devoted customer service. There are a few Pentel mechanical pencils I'd like to acquire and the PSD5 is one of them. Not quite as stunning in appearance as some PILOT MP's, though. The H-200x and H-300x series are tops.Gary near NYChttps://www.blogger.com/profile/07821071411411164468noreply@blogger.comtag:blogger.com,1999:blog-2712342362808141268.post-49101295475660924652017-01-11T18:50:34.245-08:002017-01-11T18:50:34.245-08:00To answer your question no.
