Multi Pens

Posted by Picasa
Not going to say to much here because there are to many pens. Bottom right row are the multi pens that can see action in the daily rotation. Sad to say some pens have dried up and have never been used. Just keeping up on refills can take some time so there is plenty to do around the supply room. Add them all to your collection.

SunSet Colored Pencils

Posted by Picasa
Back on 6 September 2011 I posted the Worlds Best Pencils which was a cardboard counter display of Empire Sunset Combination #156 red and blue wooden pencils. Here is another counter top display but unlike the one from last year this one has never been used. I am posting just one of these displays but when I bought them I got two which is a total of 72 pencils not counting the post of 6 Sept. 2011. These are made by the Empire Pencil Company of Shelbyville, Tennessee and I would think they are at least 50 years old. I will have to wait till next month some time but if anyone would like a Empire Sunset Combination #156 red and blue pencil there will be some for a give away at that time. These are great US made pencils from a great maker, Empire.

Another Old Clipboard

Posted by Picasa
Back on 6 June 2011 I posted my first old clipboard. That one had come from a old warehouse. Here is one I bought on EBay just the other day and is in better shape. These type of clip boards are made of alternating bands of wood and I do not know the age but I am sure it was made in the 50s or older. This one has the word "Service" stamped on the clip. As with the other one I just washed it good with soap and water then spayed it with polyethylene. Let it dry and put it to work. Add one to your collection.

Update. Don't forget this Sunday is the start of season 5 of MadMen.

Two More Lindys

Posted by Picasa
Here we have two more Lindy pens for the collection. Since this picture I have put a Pilot "The Better Ball Point Pen" refill in the Lindy and it works fine. I am talking about the Pilot Stick Pen not the click ball point. I have some red refills on order but to get it working now I put a pink refill in the pen. The Pilot pink is a real strong color and works fine in the red Lindy pen. These are the newer Lindy pens and were made by the Blackfeet Indians. I did notice that the Lindys made by the Blackfeet Indians had a smaller refill then the original Lindys made in California. On the back of the card they list all the ink colors. Wine Rose, Aegean Blue, Hot Red, Glitter Gold, Chocolate Brown, Autumn Orange, Fuschia Pink, Leafy Green, China Black, Nautical Blue, Sea Green and Lush Lavender. I am still looking for a orange Lindy. These two carded Lindys were sold at K-Mart. The Lindy pens are the third most visited post and the second most commented post here in the Supply Room. I may do a give away soon for a working Lindy Pen. Add all you can find to your collection.

More Papermate Contours

Posted by Picasa
Plenty of variations available of the Papermate Contour Pen. The Contour body style has been used on some of the most collectible Papermates ever made. This would include the Ops N Pops and the Zodiac. Zodiac has 12 different pens and the Ops N Pops has at least 10 different designs that can be on 5 different color pens. The 3 on the right side of the picture are made in the US but assembled in Mexico. These are somewhat different because of the white plastic tops. Most of the common Contours are the same color top and bottom. Same goes for the 2 Malibu's on the left. All of these are great pens from our past so add some to your collection.

New Pilot B2P

Posted by Picasa
At our local Staples I found these new Pilot Bottle 2 Pens or B2Ps in 1.0mm. They come in five colors and were $1.00 each. They are 86% recycled content while the originals were 89% recycled content. As you can see they do not use the G2 refill but a smaller one that is listed as a ball point pen refill with the orginal listed as gel. The new ones which are the four on the right also have a rubber grip which is nice. They all write fine so add them to your collection.

More new items for the supply room. On the left is the 60th Anniversary BIC Cristals. Pack includes one gold pen and one silver plastic pen. Next is a set of three Papermate Ninety-Eight pens or as I call them Contours. These pens are new and were assembled in Mexico from US components. Next is a neat little Walgreens clear calculator. Again my new metallic Pentel P205s with an extra green one. You can never have to many Pentel P205s. Last are some old plastic pencil sharpeners. The small green colored turtle is made by Sterling Plastic. Add them all to your collections.
